Dynamics of Natural Vegetation
|
The dynamics of natural vegetation is influenced by a complex web of
interacting factors. Principle among these factors are climate, soils,
disturbances and history. Our research aims to understand how these factors
drive and constrain vegetation change. We use a range of methodologies that
span population, community and ecoystem perspectives.
Current projects focus on the role of fire, climate and soils in regulating
savannas, grassland-forest mosaics and wetland-savanna mosaics in tropical
